죽기 직전에 회개하면 천국갈까?

많은 사람들이 이런 생각을 가지고 있습니다. "내가 원하는 대로 내 맘대로 살다가 죽기 직전, 침대에서 회개하고 천국에 갈 수 있지 않을까?"

Many people have this idea that you can live your life the way that you want and then just repent on your deathbed and make it into heaven.

 

하지만 성경은 이렇게 말합니다. "만약 그런 시도를 하다가, 하나님께서 네가 잠잘때, 회개할 기회를 갖지 못할때, 널 데려가실지도 모른다"

However, the Bible says that if you try that God may take you when you're sleeping before you have a chance to repent.

 

누가복음 12장 45-46절은 이렇게 말합니다, "만일 그 종이 속으로 ‘내 주인은 오래 있다가 오실 것이다’ 라고 생각하며, 남녀 종들을 때리고, 먹고 마시며 취한다면 어떻게 되겠느냐? 어느 날 생각지 않은 시간에 갑자기 그 종의 주인이 와서 그를 사정없이 때리고 믿지 않는 사람들과 똑같이 심판할 것이다"

Luke 12:45 and 46 says, "But if that servant says in his heart that my master is delaying his coming and begins to beat the male and female servants and to eat and drink and be drunk then the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him. And at an hour when he is unaware and will cut him in two and appoint him as portion with the unbelievers.

그리고 마가복음 13장 35-36절입니다. "예수님이 이르시되, 그러므로 깨어 있으라 집 주인이 언제 올는지 혹 저물 때엘는지, 밤중엘는지, 닭 울 때엘는지, 새벽엘는지 너희가 알지 못함이라. 그가 홀연히 와서 너희의 자는 것을 보지 않도록 하라"

And in Mark 13:35 and 36, Jesus said watch therefore for you do not know when the master of the house is coming in the evening at midnight at the crowing of the rooster or in the morning lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

 

그렇습니다. 사실 우리가 언제 죽을지 그것은 아무도 모릅니다. 그럼으로 우리는 늘 깨어서 하나님의 말씀을 따라 살며 천국소망을 가져야 하겠습니다.
