구원이 먼저인가 율법이 먼저인가

The principle of the Gospel is that we're saved by Grace alone. But that Grace always changes life. So we're not saved by living a good life in any way. And yet once we grab that Grace by faith, it changes our life. That's the Gospel.

복음의 원리는 우리가 오직 은혜로 구원을 받는다는 것입니다. 그리고 그 '은혜'는 항상 우리의 삶을 변화시키죠. 따라서 어떠한 '선한 삶'사는 것으로 인해 구원받는 게 아닌 겁니다. 그리고 일단 우리가 믿음으로 그 은혜를 붙잡으면, 그것이 우리의 삶을 변화시키는 거죠. 그것이 바로 '복음'입니다.

 

And we see that here and actually, it's spelled out in such great ways. First of all, here's the most obvious question about Exodus.

이러한 원리가 여기에 아주 잘 설명이 되어 있는 걸 볼 수 있죠. 먼저, 여기에 출애굽기에 대한 가장 분명한 질문이 있습니다.

 

"Does God give them the law first?" And say to Israel now as you obey the law, I'll save you from slavery and bring you out of Egypt.

"하나님께서 이스라엘에게 율법을 먼저 주셨나요? 그리고 이스라엘에게 '이제 너희가 그 법을 따르면, 내가 너희를 노예 삶에서 구원하고 애굽에서 나오게 하리라"라고 말씀하셨나요?

 

Does He say "Here's the law and if you obey it, I'll bring you out"?

그 분께서 이렇게 말하셨나요? "여기 율법이 있다. 너희가 이것에 복종하며, 너희를 구원해 줄 것이다"

 

No. He says "I'll bring you out" And then He gives them the law. Basicall, you know, the first 19 chapters of the book of Exodus is God bringing them out, saving them even though He hasn't even given them the law. And in many, many, many ways, they show themselves grumblers and unhappy and flow away..  not all admirable people. So what we have is right out of the gate here in the book of Exodus, the principle of Grace.

아니죠. 하나님께서는 먼저 "내가 너희를 구원하리라" 그러고 나서 그분은 그들에게 '율법'을 주셨습니다. 따라서 출애굽기에서 19장까지는 하나님께서 그들을 데려 나오는 부분이죠. 아직 율법을 주시지 않고 그들을 구원하시는 부분입니다. 그럼에도 이스라엘은 정말 다양한 방법으로 불평하고 불행해하죠. 본받을 만한 모습이 아니죠. 따라서 여기 출애굽기에서 시작된 거죠. 복음의 원리가요.

 

"God saves you by Grace, then changes your life"

"하나님께서는 은혜로 당신을 구원하신다. 그리고 당신의 삶을 변화시킨다"

 

Not if you change your life and you know, pull yourself together then maybe I'll save you. Other religions, "You pull yourself together, then I'll save you"

"만약 네가 삶을 먼저 변화시키고, 힘을 내서 말이야.. 그러면 내가 너를 구원할게"라고 하신 게 아니에요. 다른 종교들은 말합니다, "힘을 좀 내보라고, 그러면 내가 널 구원해 줄게"라고요.

 

Christianity, "I'll save you, and then we will renovate your life" And that's very important.

기독교는 말합니다, "먼저 너를 구원해 줄게, 그리고 나서 네 삶을 새롭게 해 줄 거란다". 굉장히 중요한 부분입니다.
