Two the great young smart intellectual conservatives who I wanted to have on the program. Candace, you're known for your commentary. You are the director of urban engagement at the conservatory advocacy group Turning Point USA. You were pursuing an undergraduate degree in journalism at the University of Rhode Island, You left school. You said.. That’s enough. You launched ‘socialautopsy.com’ in 2016 a website where you were exposing bullies and so first now this is very interesting to me. You really come from different backgrounds. You're both conservatives, is that correct?

You came and from a completely different direction. This is something I think about all the time. How to appeal to people, how do we reach out to people.. people from different communities people, from different backgrounds cause I personally think the conservatism is the glue that holds society together. Why are you a conservative? You become a fairly recent conservative.

당신들은 정말 전혀 다른 배경으로부터 와서 보수주의자가 되었어요. 제가 항상 궁금하게 생각하는건..어떻게 사람들에게 호소할 수 있을까, 어떻게 접근할까, 특히 다른 커뮤니티에서 오거나, 전혀 다른 배경에서 오는 사람들에게 말입니다. 왜냐하면 저는 개인적으로 보수주의가 사회를 하나로 묶는 접착제라고 생각하기 때문에 그것이 항상 궁금했습니다. 당신은 왜 보수주의자가 되셨나요? 최근에 보수주의자가 된 것 같은데요.

How did you reach that point?

어떻게해서 보수주의자가 될 수 있던 거죠?

Well, I like to say now that the reason I'm conservative is because I used to be a liberal and I learned a lot. Obviously growing up in a black household. There's a lot of emphasis placed on black people today. Being liberals, being Democrats. It's pretty much programmed into us via the public school system. That is the only option for us because Republicans of course are racist and they want to harm the black community.

글쎄요, 저는 원래 진보주의자였는데, 그랬기 때문에 제가 보수주의자가 될 수 있었던 것 같습니다. 그래서 많이 배웠습니다. 저는 흑인 가정에서 자라났어요. 오늘날에 흑인들은 주로 자유주의자가 되고, 민주당원이 되고 있는데요. 이것은 바로 공립학교 시스템이 우리에게 그렇게 되도록 프로그램 되어 있기 때문입니다. 공화당원들은 인종차별자들이고 흑인사회를 해치고 싶어한다고  교육시키기 때문에, 어찌보면 민주당원이 되는것은 우리에게 유일한 선택인 것입니다.

And I had a different experience in life realizing that everything my life seemed to be going wrong. I was blaming the world for everything that was going wrong. There was no personal responsibility because a lot of these liberal movements you're essentially taught that there's always someone else that you can blame. And you're pointing the finger and everybody else you're not looking internally to fix things.

그러다가 ‘내 삶이 뭔가 잘못되는것 같다’고 깨달으면서 전혀 다른 인생 경험을 했는데요. 바로 ‘모든게 세상 탓이야’라 탓하던 저 자신을 발견하면서 부터였어요. 제 '개인의 책임은 없었단' 말이죠. 왜냐하면 이런 많은 리버럴 운동들은 본질적 으로 '비난해야하는 다른 누군가가 있다'는 것을 배우게 만들기 때문입니다. 그리고 결국 당신이 누군가를 손가락질하게 만들고, 다른 누군가를 비난하게 만든다는거죠. 내 안에 있는 잘못된 것을 (책임지고) 고치게끔 하지 않구요.

And you'll find that things will continue to go wrong. So during the 2016 election cycle I was watching our wonderful president take a run for the White House and the conversation was very strange the rhetoric that the media was using was extremely aggressive. They were trying to convince me that he was a racist that he was a sexist that he was a misogynist at one point that he was incestuous. right with they started that horrible story about Ivanka Trump and at one point that he was a rapist and I said this is very strange.

그러면 결국 당신은 뭔가 계속 잘못되고 있다는 걸 알게 될 거에요. 그런 가운데 저는 2016년 선거기간중, 트럼프 대통령이 선거에 출마하는 것을 보게 되었는데요. 매우 이상한 점이 있었는데, 언론이 사용하는 언사가 매우 공격적이라는걸 알게 되었어요. 언론은 트럼프가 인종 차별주의자라는 것, 그가 여성을 혐오하고 배타적이라는 것을 나에게 확신시키려고 한다는 것을 느꼈습니다. 그리고 이방카 트럼프에 대한 끔찍한 이야기를 하기 시작했고, 트럼프가 강간범 이라는 얘길 듣는 순간.. 뭔가 매우 이상하다고 생각했습니다.

I grew up in a household listening to hip-hop music. Trump was glorified and a lot of those music and a lot of those songs. And all of a sudden, they wanted me to believe that he was a racist so I had to a
