I just left Walter Reed Medical Center, and it's really something very special. The doctors, the nurses, the first responders, and I learned so much about coronavirus. And one thing that's for certain: don't let it dominate you. Don't be afraid of it. You're gonna beat it. We have the best medical equipment, we have the best medicines, all developed recently. And you're gonna beat it.

방금 월터 리드 메디컬 센터에서 퇴원했습니다. 정말 특별한 곳이었어요. 의사들, 간호사들, 응급구조요원들, 그리고 저는 코로나바이러스에 대해 정말 많이 배웠습니다. 제가 배운 확신한 한가지는 이겁니다. “그 병이 여러분을 지배하게 냅두지 말라는 것”입니다. 무서워하지 마십시오. 여러분은 이겨낼 것입니다. 우리는 가장 좋은 의료 장비와 가장 좋은 약들을 보유하고 있으며, 최근 모두 개발되었습니다. 그걸로 여러분들은 이겨낼 것입니다.

I went, I didn't feel so good and two days ago.. I could have left two days ago — two days ago I felt great, like better than I have in a long time, I said this recently. Better than 20 years ago. Don't let it dominate, don't let it take over your lives. Don’t let that happen. We’re the greatest country in the world. We're going back to work, we'll be out front. As your leader, I had to do that. I know there's danger to it, but I had to do it. I stood out front, I led.

저는 몸 상태가 별로 좋지 않았고.. 이틀전에.. 이틀 전에 퇴원할 수도 있었는데.. 이틀전에 몸이 좋아졌거든요. 오랜만에 정말 몸이 좋았는데요. 제가 말했었죠. 20년 전보다 더 좋아졌다고 말이죠. 그 병에 주눅들지 마십시요. 그 병이 여러분의 사람을 앗아가게 두지 마시라구요. 그런일이 일어나지 않게 하세요. 우리나라는 세계에서 가장 위대한 나라입니다. 우리는 다시 열심히 일할 겁니다. 앞으로 나갈 거에요. 여러분의 지도자로서 그렇게 해야만 했습니다. 저도 위험하다는 건 알지만 어쩔수 없이 해야했습니다. 제가 앞장서서 이끌었죠.

Nobody's that's a leader would not do what I did. And I know there's a risk, there's a danger, but that's okay. And now I'm better, and maybe I'm immune, I don't know. But don't let it dominate your lives, get out there, be careful. We have the best medicines in the world, and they've all happened very shortly, and they're all getting approved, and the vaccines are coming momentarily.

저처럼 했던 지도자는 없었습니다. 저도 위험하다는 건 알았고, 위험했지만.. 이제 괜찮습니다. 그리고 지금 저는 더 좋아졌고, 어쩌면 면역이 생겼는지도 모르겠네요. 그리고 그 병이 여러분의 삶을 지배하도록 두지 마시고, 이겨내십시요. 조심하시구요. 우리는 세계에서 가장 좋은 약들을 보유하고 있습니다. 그 약들은 매우 짧은 기간에 개발되었고, 약들 모두 승인을 받고 있으며, 백신도 곧 보급될 것입니다.
