YOU ARE NOT GOOD. 당신은 선하지 않아요.

Ever since I've been a child which is a long time ago, there have been wars.

제가 어렸을 때부터, 아주 오래전이죠. 그때도 전쟁이 있었습니다.

 

If there is one day without shooting, it's only because everybody's loading their guns.

만약 총을 쏘지 않는 날이 있다면, 그건 모두가 총을 장전했기 때문일 겁니다.

 

We're a warring people. We're a bloody people.

우리 인간은 전쟁을 하는 종족입니다. 우린 피비린내는 나는 사람들이에요.

 

As you grow up, you're going to see that.

여러분이 어른이 되면, 알게 될 겁니다.

 

I don't want you to see all the violence that's out there, but this is humanity.

전 여러분이 세상에 있는 그런 모든 폭력을 보지 않으면 합니다. 하지만 그게 바로 우리 인간이죠. 

 

And look what he says there is none good.

보세요. 하나님께서 말씀합니다. '선한 자가 하나도 없다'

 

 

When I'm out on the street, and I'm telling people about JESUS.

제가 거리로 나가서, 사람들에게 예수님에 대해 말합니다.

 

You know, it's one of the first things they all tell me.

그거 아세요, 그들이 제게 말하는 첫마디 중 하나는 이겁니다.

 

I mean it's one of the first things that comes out of people's mouths: I'm good.

그러니까 사람들의 입에서 나오는 첫마디가 바로 이거라고요. "저는 선해요"

 

If you die right now, Sir, where would you go?

만약 지금 당장 죽는다면요, 선생님. 어디로 가실것 같나요?

 

I'd go to heaven. Why? I'm good.

천국으로 갈거예요. 왜 그렇죠? 저는 선하니까요.

 

Okay, you may be good in the eyes of some men. I mean maybe you're better than Hitler.

네 여러분이 선할 지도 모릅니다. 어떤 사람들 눈에는요. 제 말은 아마 히틀러보다는 선하겠죠.

 

But in the eyes of GOD, there's none good. There's none good!

하지만 하나님의 눈에는, '선한 것이 없습니다'. 선한 것이 없다고요!

 

I don't care if you're 13 years old, homeschooled, never watched a television program, have pink bows in your hair, and just read little house on the prairie books. 

상관없습니다. 여러분이 13살이던, 홈스쿨을 받던, tv를 보지 않던, 분홍리본을 달고 있던, 그리고 '초원의 집' 동화를 읽든지 상관없어요.

 

You are not good.

여러분은 선하지 않습니다.
