Before we start tonight, let me say something. Obviously, I'm aware of what's going on with my brother. And obviously, I cannot cover it because he is my brother.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on damage control after two more women have come forward alleging inappropriate behavior.

앤드류 쿠오모 뉴욕 주지사는 그가 부적절한 행동을 했다고 주장한 여성 2명이 추가로 발견된 후 피해를 수습하고 있습니다.  

I'm not going to resign because of allegations.

Karen Hinton, Cuomo's former press aide during his time as HUD(Housing and Urban Development) Secretary, told the Washington Post and WNBC that he crossed the line in 2000 when he asked her to his hotel room.

쿠오모의 전 보좌관이었던 캐런 힌튼은 그가 ‘주택 도시 개발부 장관’으로 재직했던 2000년, 그가 자신을 호텔방으로 오라고 요청했을때 선을 넘었다고 말했습니다.  

He started asking me personal questions. I was uncomfortable with that conversation. So I stood up to leave and he walked across from his couch and embraced me intimately. It was not just a hug. It was an intimate embrace.

She has been a long time a political adversary of mine. Highly critical for many many years and has made many many accusations.

Anna Liss tells the Wall Street Journal the Governor touched her lower back and kissed her hand in 2013 while she was working as his policy adviser.

안나 리스는 월스트리트저널과의 인터뷰에서 그녀가 정책고문으로 일한 2013년 당시, 그가  자신의 등 아랫부분을 만지고, 손에 키스를 했다고 말했습니다.

An aide to the governor from 2013 to 2015 tells the Wall Street Journal the Governor touched her lower back, kissed her and asked her whether she had a boyfriend. Liss tells the paper at first she thought it was harmless flirtation, but later found it inappropriate.

2013년부터 2015년까지 주지사의 보좌관이 월스트리트저널에 그가 그녀의 등 아랫부분을 만지고 키스를 하고, 남자친구가 있느냐고 물었다고 말했습니다. 리스는 처음에 그 행동이 악의는 없는 추파라고 생각했지만, 나중에는 그것이 부적절한 것이라는 것을 알았다고 신문에 말했습니다.

In recent weeks, three other women have accused Cuomo of unwanted advances.

The Washington Post is also quoting two men former aides who accused Cuomo of abusive behavior and foul language while they worked for him. The Governor's office put out a statement which seems to only address Karen Hinton's allegations saying quote,

워싱턴포스트는 또한 쿠오모가 폭행과 욕설을 했다고 고소한 전직 보좌관 두 명을 인용하기도 했습니다. 주지사 사무실은 캐런 힌튼이 제기한 혐의에 대해서만 다음과 같이 입장을 내놓았습니다.

“This did not happen. Karen Hinton is a known antagonist of the Governor’s who is attempting to take advantage of this moment to score cheap points with made-up allegations from 21 years ago. All women have the right to come forward and tell their story. However, it's also the responsibility of the press to consider self-motivation. This is reckless.”

"그런 일은 일어나지 않았습니다. 캐런 힌튼은 21년 전의 꾸며낸 주장으로 이 순간에 악용하여 치사한 이득을 보려고 하는 주지사의 적대자로 알려져 있습니다. 모든 여성은 자신의 이야기를 할 권리가 있습니다. 하지만, 그 사람들의 동기를 고려하는 것도 언론의 책임입니다. 이건 무책임한 짓입니다."

Now this comes as the State legislature has voted Friday to take away some of the Governor's executive powers amidst the nursing home scandal. There are calls for Cuomo to resign right now. It seems he has no plans to do so.

The most powerful New Yorker in Congress, U.S Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer on Sunday said he backed an investigation into sexual harassment allegations against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo made by five women. Schumer called the accusations deeply troubling and said he supported an ongoing investigation by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

미국 의회내 가장 힘있는 뉴요커이자, 상원의 리더인 척 슈머는 일요일에, 5명의 여성이 앤드류 쿠오모 뉴욕주지사에게 제기한 성추행한 혐의에 대한 조사를 지지한다고 밝혔습니다. 슈머는 이런 비난은 매우 골칫거리라고 말했으며, 뉴욕주 법무장관 레티샤 제임스의 조사를 지지한다고 말했습니다.

Honestly, it's going to be the pressure that is coming from his own party that will be his undoing. I mean he can't be effective as a Governor if the people in his own party are pushing him out the door.

He'll never get his legislation passed. He's not going to get the cooperation that he needs. You know, having been a Governor you just can't function very well. If the people that ought to be your strongest allies have turned against you and are demanding that you find the door and find it quickly.

Are you saying that maybe Governor Cuomo should resign?

I think there comes a point in which when he cares more about the function of the State Government of New York than he does his own personal position. If he cannot dramatically and forcefully say ‘These things did not happen and I never crossed the line.’ Then I think he's in trouble.

저는 그가 자신의 개인적인 지위보다 뉴욕주정부의 기능에 더 신경을 쓸 때가 왔다고 생각합니다. 만약 그가 '그런 성추행은 일어나지 않았으며, 나는 선을 넘은 적이 없다'고 격렬히 강력하게 말할 수 없다면 말이죠, 그럼 그가 곤경에 처한 것이라고 봅니다.
