Things that I wanted to share with you. According to Pew research, the net worth of white families in 2013 was 141,000. For black families, it was 11,000. Even less than the 19,000 it was in 2007.

제가 말씀드리고 싶은 것은 이겁니다. 퓨 리서치에 따르면, 2013년 백인가족의 순자산은 $141,000(1억7천만원)이었고, 흑인가족의 순자산은 $11,000(1천3백만원) 이었는데, 이건 심지어 2007년 $19,000(2천3백만원)에 비해서도 줄어든 겁니다. 

According to economist Edward Wolff of the University of New York excluding vehicles and other durables the median black family worth is just $1,700 while 40% of black families zero or negative wealth. White family worth in terms of financial worth is 69 times more than that of black families. Given this disparity, how can you argue that racism is not a driving factor in income inequality.

뉴욕대학교 경제학자 에드워드 울프에 따르면, 차량 및 다른 자산을 제외한 흑인가족의 평균가치는 고작 $1,700(2백만원)에 불과하며 심지어 하위 40%는 가치가 ‘0’이거나 마이너스인 상황입니다. 반면에 백인가족의 경우는 그 가치가 흑인가족에 비해 69배나 높습니다. 이러한 불균형을 보면서, 어떻게 소득불균형의 원인이 ‘인종차별’이 아니라고 할 수 있겠습니까?

Because it has nothing to do with race and everything to do with culture. And when you have a culture, that doesn't.. anyone, and when.. you know what? Explain to me, you explain to me why black kids aren’t graduating high school. Explain that one to me.

왜냐하면 소득불균형은 말그대로 ‘인종’과는 전혀 상관이 없기 때문입니다. 그건 그들이 가진 ‘문화’와 완전히 관련이 있습니다.  사람들은 어떤 문화를 가지게 되면..  그러면, 한번 설명해보시죠. 왜 흑인아이들은 고등학교를 졸업하지 않는지 설명해보세요. 한번 말해보세요.

Explain to me why black kids are shooting each other in rates significantly higher than whites are shooting each other. Explain to me why 13% of the population is responsible for 50% of the murder. Explain to me why the number of blacks.. and black kids in prison not for innocent reasons, not for walking down the street getting pulled into a prison is so high.

왜 흑인 아이들은 백인아이들보다 서로 총질을 해대는 확률이 현격히 높은지 설명해보시죠. 왜 13%의 (흑인)인구가 모든 살인사건의 50%를 발생시키는지 설명해보시죠. 왜 감옥에 가면 흑인 아이들이 이렇게 많은지 설명해보세요.. 그들은 억울하게 감옥에 간게 아닙니다. 왜 이렇게 길거리의 흑인 아이들이 감옥에 많이 가게 되는지 설명해 보시죠.

Explain if it has nothing to do with culture. Explain to me why the single motherhood rate in the black community jumped from 20% to 70% in the same course of time that the civil rights movement has made such tremendous strides. Is America more racist now than it was in 1960 and if it is, please explain to me how that happened.

이런 현상이 문화와 관련이 없는것이라고 설명할 수 있습니까? 왜 시민인권 운동이 그렇게 놀랍게 발전한 그 동시기에 흑인 미혼모 비율은 20%에서 70%로 훌쩍 뛰어버렸습니까? 지금 미국이 1960년대보다 인종차별이 심합니까? 만약 그렇다면 어째서 그런건지 설명해 주시죠.
